Jaddle ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Jaddle mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and your rights regarding that information.

2.3 Information from Third-Party Sign-In Providers

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those providers. Their collection is governed by their own policies: Google · Apple

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your information for targeted advertising. We do not build advertising profiles.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

Your username, profile photo, and debate/comment content are visible to other users by default. Anonymous participation hides your identity from other users for that debate, but content remains visible.

4.2 Service Providers

All providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jaddle, our users, or the public.

In a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4.5 We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

5. Debate Content and Public Visibility

Debates are public by default. You may choose anonymous participation. Content removed by moderators is replaced with a notice and retained for trust-and-safety purposes.

6. Media Storage

Photos, videos, and audio you upload are stored on Amazon S3 with time-limited signed URLs — files are not publicly accessible via static links.

7. Data Retention

We retain data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

Personal identifier scrubbing is completed within 30 days of deletion.

8. Children's Privacy

Jaddle requires users to be 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Users under 13 are not permitted. We comply with COPPA. Contact hello@jaddle.app if you believe a minor has created an account.

9. Security

We use HTTPS for data in transit, AWS security controls for data at rest, time-limited signed URLs for media, and Firebase Authentication for credential management. No system is 100% secure, but we are committed to reasonable protections.
